RE: IRL rides
I understand the "Awhile" is a relative term and can apply to different conceptions of time, but I am fairly sure leaving for a few days or so isn't "Awhile"

"Toyang"

1989 Toyota Corolla GL SKD [AE92]

Finally saved up enough money to buy my dream car Big Grin Thankfully, savings from my college tuition fees (I got a few scholarships) and making a small loan from my parents payed it off. I'm the 4th owner. First two were related old ladies, third was a guy who "dressed" it up with a rubber lip and cut springs. This is what it looked like a few days after I brought it home.

Nothing much done to it aside from the above-mentioned cut springs and rubber lip, plus a Simota air filter and AE111 GLi 14-inch wheels to replace the stock 13-inch "Sunburst" wheels. Interior is one of the freshest I've seen for this age, and the folding rear seats and long-pocket door sidings exclusive to the 1989 SKD (Semi-Knock Down from Japan, as opposed to '90-'92 built in the PH) are a great big plus. The past owners already converted it to power steering too.

I got it checked up the other day, needed new shocks and springs since the old ones were busted as hell due to enduring the cut spring life. Along with that brake pads, a few bulbs for the headlamps, and some small stuff to get it truly roadworthy. I went with the cheapest and safest option, stock springs and stock shocks. Now, it has that rally car stance. LOL

Plans for now are to get a new steering wheel, a decent headunit with MP3/SD card/bluetooth connectivity, fix the speakers that aren't working, get a new clear clearance light for the passenger side, and maybe yellow foglamps. I'm currently saving up for an undercoat and proper lowering springs or coilovers. Smile
