Anyone who knows Subarus know what would cause overheating on an ej22...? I have replaced the thermostat, the radiator, and radiator cap, and one of the radiator hoses... It overheats after the engine gets pushed hard (when I get off the highway, after I floor it or put the gas pedal down to a certain point)

Check and see if the fan is spinning fast enough. Have a friend keep an eye on the fan with the hood up.

The fans are spinning all right. People keep telling me it is the headgasket, but I have my doubts because it has been overheating since September, and if anything, it has gotten better if not worse... If it is the headgasket, I am surprised that there is nothing else wrong and that I haven't blown it up yet

AllOfTheCars:i would try it,fucked up headgasket usally leads to overheating, atleast in case of old skodas, lmao

Yeah... The only problem is that I can't afford to get the headgasket done because all my money from work goes towards college

is it a turbo car?

RE: IRL rides - gas23 - 02-02-2016 04:06 AM

is it smoking at all? white smoke could mean the head gasket is blown
